Students in Glyndebourne Opera
Following the auditions with Gareth Malone, several students from William Parker and Helenswood will be taking part in the Knight Crew opera at Glyndebourne in March.
Knight Crew is a new youth opera for 14 – 19 year olds. A reworking of the King Arthur legend in a modern city setting, it is to be performed on the Glyndebourne main stage in 2010.
This will be the fifth youth opera that has been staged at Glyndebourne. It will have six professional singers in the performance as well as 60 young people from the local area.
