Deadlines, Homework and Revision
Homework is an integral part of the teaching and learning process. Students are given a College diary or planner in which to record all homework tasks.
In Years 7 and 8 it is anticipated that students will need to spend, on average, an hour to an hour and a half per evening on homework tasks. This should rise to an hour and a half to 2 hours in Year 9 as students prepare for their Key Stage 3 assessments.
In Years 10 and 11 this is likely to increase to two hours per evening, depending on the nature and level of subjects taken at this stage.
The Learning Support Centre at Park Avenue is open until 4.30pm Monday to Thursday to provide students with support with homework.
A copy of the Homework Policy is summarised in the Student Planner.
