WHOOSH! What happens out of school hours? The College offers a wide range of extra curricular activities at all stages in a student’s education.

  • Sport – there are College clubs and teams in all the major sports and many other opportunities to follow individual sporting activities to the highest level. Boys belonging to one of the eight houses can compete during lunchtimes for House Championships in a wide range of sporting and other competitive activities
  • Music – regular concerts provide opportunities for orchestra, brass ensemble, guitar groups and a wide range of instrumentalists to perform in public. Individual tutoring is available in a large number of instruments
  • Drama – the Phoenix Arts Centre and Drama Studio provide superb facilities for College and small group productions and clubs and for students also to learn technical theatre and events management.
  • Combined Cadet Force – Army and RAF sections provide opportunities to learn about life in the armed services and to experience a wide range of outdoor pursuits.
  • Scouts – the local scouts' centre based on site provides special opportunities for William Parker boys.
  • Educational Visits – the College offers a wide range of educational visits from week-long ski trips and outdoor pursuit camps to visits to theatre, sports events and universities.
  • Other clubs and societies - in addition to the above there is a range of other extra curricular clubs and societies from Young Enterprise, Model United Nations and Debating to Chess, ICT and Technology clubs.
